Welcome To the DuPage Birding Club

Birding With a Purpose!

Founded in 1985, the DuPage Birding Club is nationally known as one of the largest and most active birding groups in Illinois.  Our mission is to promote birding among our 200+ members and the general public through education and field experiences that take advantage of the various birding habitats in DuPage County, the greater Chicago area, and other regional hotspots.

This and That...

Visit our Field Trips Page for a complete list of early spring field trips targeting migrating waterfowl, raptors, passerines and shorebirds plus some returning breeders. Open to birders of all skill levels, so please come join us.

With the new year around the corner, it's time to start planning for the 2013 DBC "Big Year"! For those unfamiliar with the term "Big Year", it is a friendly competition in which birders attempt to record as many bird species within a specified area during the course of the year. DBC members in good standing are eligible. We will expand our Big Year area to include DuPage, Cook, Kane, and Will counties.

Prepare for upcoming new features and a new look to the DuPage Birding Website coming to you soon!
